10-31-17 Halloween!!!!!!!
I will have to say this is by far a better Halloween then last year!!!! Last year I was in the hospital having a cardiac ablation on Halloween. Lots of real blood and horror that day!
Today just included a long car ride (back from Knoxville with Angie and Josh), chilling out in our apartment for a while, then heading over to Angie and Josh's to eat chili and sit outside watching the little goblins come around. Last time I did that with them, we were in South Florida. It wasn't quite as warm tonight as when we sat out in South Florida, but it wasn't bad at about 55 degrees.
They started setting up about 6pm. About 6:45 the trick or treaters started arriving---and they continued to come almost non-stop for about 1 1/2 hours. By then, Angie and Josh ran out of candy, so the goblins after that didn't get anything.
Almost ready! All that's needed is the fire in the fire pit.
Ken stayed in with the pups. I guess he didn't want to smile at the kids all night.
Instead he taunted the dogs with a batman mask.
Me ready to greet the goblins.
Come on trick or treaters.
Josh getting in the mood.
one of their not so scary pumpkins.
apparently the carvings didn't go as they planned, but I think their pumpkins turned out cute.
Almost 8pm. a short lull in the trick or treaters.
It was an enjoyable evening. Their neighbor even came over with s'mores makings. Only bad thing is there was no left over candy to eat!
