11-16-17 Minor league ice hockey:
Angie and Josh asked if we'd be interested in going to the minor league hockey game just down the highway from them. Ken declined, but I didn't. So just before sunset, I headed out. It looked like it was going to be a pretty sunset, so I went up to the Costco parking lot and took a couple pictures of it. One of our better ones for a change.
While I was stopped on the highway trying to get to their house.
We made it to the arena so early that we went across the street to Marlow's bar and grill for a drink and appetizers first. Made it to the arena about 30 minutes after the game was suppose to start only to find out they waited for us! Or maybe it was the problems with the lights that they had that cause the delay?
I don't get to many hockey games anymore. Use to like taking candids of it when I worked for Prestige.
a real live Puck Head
Not sure what a lion mascot has to do with being a Gladiator? Even saw Santa there resting up before the big day!
But he was cute. Not many people here---guess that's why Atlanta doesn't have a hockey team! We even got in free with tickets from Josh's work.
a break in the action while a ref regained his senses after being hit in the face with a puck.
It was a really enjoyable game. Even better then the Blues games when I use to watch them. Seemed like all they wanted to do was hit the puck to the other end of the ice and chase it. These guys actually passed the puck around. We didn't stay 'til the end, though. Had to beat the traffic---all 10 cars. But it was a different and enjoyable evening.
