3-17-17 our bird friends:

I love being able to look out our living room window and seeing so many birds.  I even made hummingbird water today.  Haven't put it out yet, but it's ready and getting cool.  But for now, we have lots of birds to watch.  Not to mention the family of squirrels that we keep trying to keep out of the bird feeder.  There are birds at the feeder almost all day now.
Such as this female Cardinal
We have some new regulars now, too!  Love having colorful birds coming to visit.  I believe this is a Goldfinch

There are a few of them that frequent our feeder now.  Apparently they don't like each other.
 I believe these are females.
I have to take the pictures through the blinds, so they aren't as sharp as I'd like, but not bad.
 One more
Another new comer to the feeder---a House Finch.  There's always plenty of seeds on the ground for the doves and squirrels to eat.  Seems the birds on the feeders like to throw out the seeds they don't like.
There's actually a couple of House Finches coming around.
Plus we still have lots of Chickadees.  They, the Cardinals, a lone Carolina Wren, and a couple wood peckers have been loyal diners all winter.  They all seem to prefer the sunflower seeds.  We end up with husks all over the patio and have to refill the feeder daily.
A pair of Cardinals waiting their turn on a nearby tree.

There are a  lot of birds all over the apartment complex.  Many of them are songbirds.  It makes my almost daily walks much more enjoyable.
