3-13-17 Fall Branch Falls:

The first falls we went to from Blue Ridge, Ga., was Fall Branch Falls.  The info online said it was a short walk to the bottom of the falls.  So off we went!
The trail wasn't as nice as the one at Amicalola, but it wasn't bad.

It was also unpaved and many places were rocky and uneven.
But at least it wasn't raining like the weather man had predicted.
We weren't able to see the falls from most of the trail, but did get interesting views of the little stream.
 More of the rocky trail.
Finally made it to the falls.  Not huge, but it was still pretty.
There was even a nice viewing platform at the end of the falls trail.  There was another trail that went up past the top of the falls.  We didn't walk it, but did see a few people on it.
Zoomed in view of the upper falls.
Zoomed in view of the lower falls.
  mossy deadwood.
 budding rhodie
 looks like a wild pansy?
I bet this is a pretty tunnel when the rhodies are blooming.
 more deadwood.
 more of the trail
 Ken charging ahead.

more of the stream.  Guess this falls and stream is dry a lot of the time.

It was a nice little hike.  Not nearly as popular as Amicalola, but nice.  Glad we checked it out.
