We arrived at The Hill a little early. So did Bill and Lena; Jeff and Katie and their 3 girls; and Christina and Sam and their son; so we all walked to one of the neighborhood Italian grocery stores. After a little shopping there, it was time to meet the realtor at Nick's house---yes, I didn't mention Nick because he wasn't even there! But he looks like he's getting a really nice house. From there, we went to one of the many Italian restaurants on The Hill---Joey B's. I had never been there. We've been to several restaurant on The Hill but for some reason had never been to this one. It was very good!
Nephew and neice and great nephew and neices.
Ken and brother Bill.
Myself and Lena
Later in the day we headed off to the Confluence Park in North County. This is where Ken liked to ride bicycles. It was brutal when the sun was out in full force or there was any wind---there was very little shade!
But it was always interesting to see what they had growing. Usually corn and soy beans, but they also plant sunflowers for the wildlife to eat.
So long sunflowers!
Love the cone flowers by the park office building.
and the queen anne's lace growing wild everywhere.
The Park office
Then we went on to the park over by the Alton bridge.
They opened up a new area of the park
Even saw a great white heron---makes me miss Florida!
I amuse easily
