5-9-18 pack em up; load em up; move em out:
I really thought packing for our 2 bedroom apartment would be quick and easy. Where did all this stuff come from???!!!
Seems we accumulated twice as much stuff since we moved from the 1 bedroom apartment in S. Florida to this 2 bedroom apartment. I even took bags and bags of trash up to the dumpster over the last few days.
one of the new additions---the futon.
Where a lot of our extra stuff ended up---in the kitchen.
Heading to get the 20' U-Haul truck. This construction has been going on for the whole 2 years we've been here and it doesn't look like it's close to being finished yet.
Will probably be nice when it's all done, but it's been a headache for getting to Angie and Josh's place the 2 years we've been here.
Hello????
Back at our apartment. Waiting for the loaders.
new tradition---on moving day you have to buy some doughnuts. Hardly ever get them any other time.
I got a kick out of the Venture Across America painting on the side of our truck---Providence Canyon in SW Georgia. We went by there on our way back from Orlando a little over a year ago. Pretty neat place.
The loading has begun. Best $150 we've spent in a long time! These guys know what they're doing!!
I was afraid the 20' truck was going to be way too big for all our stuff. There was still quite a bit of room, but they spaced it out to bring some all the way to the end of the truck so there wouldn't be stuff sliding around. Only took them about 1 1/2 hours to load up our stuff (over 6 hours when they loaded Angie and Josh's stuff).
Remembering the day we moved in! What a fast 2 years!
on the road. Somewhere south of Atlanta.
The drive was pretty uneventful. Now for our next adventure!
