5-30-18 exploring the Perry area some more:
Time to get over to Peachtree Cafe for breakfast again. This time we let Layla's Mom come, too. She should recognize this place by now! Love how Grandpa is sporting his pocket rabbit.
The skies were actually blue today! First time in about 10 days that it's been this clear! So pretty with all the pecan orchards.
Ken thought he saw a couple of park areas along Houston Lake on the map, so we went to check them out.
There is a road along the lake, but no parks---just a lot of old houses.
Angie thought they had looked at a house here, but quickly realized it was a different lake they went to.
So she directed us to it to show us the house in a hole, as she called it.
Entrance to the subdivision.
Much nicer then the one by Houston Lake.
The lake is smaller, though.
Doesn't look like it's in a hole here, but they weren't impressed.
She wasn't impressed with the retaining walls on this nearby house, either.
Then we headed home. This is the young pecan orchard about a mile from there house.
another view of it---actually it's another view of the fantastic sky.
Spent most of the afternoon in the pool after our ride. Nice to have a pool right outside our door! Nice that the rain didn't cool it off too much. It did put the algae into a bloom, but Angie treated the water last night and it's back to being almost clear instead of green.
