5-10-18 moving into the guest house:
After a night in Angie and Josh's guest house, we had un-loaders come to move some of our stuff into the guest house until we're able to close on the house we're under contract for 2.5 miles from Angie and Josh's.
These guys were not the same caliber as the ones we had yesterday! In fact, these were the same guys Angie and Josh ended up with when they moved in a couple weeks before and we were not impressed with them either at that time. Ken swore he didn't rent the same guys, yet, there they were. But aside from the boss guy having a rather obnoxious behavior, the job was done. And after it was done, the boss even took my phone and gave himself a raving review---without telling us he was doing that.
The hard part was deciding what boxes to move into the guest house, which ones to leave in the garage and which ones to put in the trailer. The un-loaders didn't seem too happy to be moving the bedroom set from the 2nd level of the guest house to the main house---especially since they had moved it up there just a couple weeks ago. I told them when we move again in a month we'll hire them and they can move the set back up there. But for now, I'm enjoying our large bedroom/sitting room/office!
Even has a big closet.
only bad thing about the guest house is there are stairs, and the only bathroom is downstairs. I also couldn't figure out how to set up a living room area, but Angie didn't hesitate with the placement of the futon and the chair. I like it! Now to get the TV to work. It's suppose to work on their service, but we haven't gotten it to work yet.
Also had a lot of boxes to weed through picking out some stuff and leaving other stuff in it. Now to get the excess boxes put away.
I use to tease Angie that they needed to get a house with a guest house so we could move into it. Then they did and invited us to live there, but we're not staying! It sure is nice, though! It's a lot larger then our apartment in Florida and probably larger than our apartment in Buford, too. If I hadn't convinced Ken to buy a place, I'd probably be trying to persuade him that we should stay here permanently. But it's sure nice to have for a couple months until we close on our new house.
