2-26-2018  sunset at Lake Lanier

We've been hearing that the lake is higher then it's been since we've moved here.  So we decided to take a ride over to the dam and check it out.  Especially since it's Feb. and the weather here is pretty much like it was in Maui!  At least right now!
The lake as we were driving over the dam.
West Bank park as seen from the dam.

 more of West Bank
 and more.
We didn't spend much time at West Bank.  The park entrance sign said they close at 5 and it was past 5, so we headed to our old favorite for sunsets---Old Federal Park.  Along the way, we came across this row of flowering trees (Bradford Pear?).
I love this time of year when the trees start blooming and everything starts greening up!
Old Federal was open until something like 10, so we sat and watched a really pretty sunset.
Usually I get out and wander around, but Tim called so I sat in the car and visited with him while watching the sunset.
Not a bad welcome home from Maui!
