8-11-16 Midway Meal House and a walk around the Preserve at Mill Creek----

Angie has been bragging about the Midway Meal House in Alpharetta for awhile now.  So when Josh left on another overnight business trip, we took her to the Midway Meal House for breakfast.  It was every bit as great as she had said!  It would definitely be our new Dyan's restaurant if it wasn't so far away!!!  Took about 40 minutes to get there.  Breakfast was great and cheap.  For $8.50 Ken and I each got 2 eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, grits, and 2 huge pancakes.  Angie got the biscuits and gravy and they were excellent, too!  DAng, why can't we find a place like this in Buford?!
Wasn't too crowded when we got there at 11, but it sure filled up fast.

Cute decor.
 Till we meet again!
Back at our condo it was time to get a few "steps" in.  I find walking around our complex can get a fair amount of steps in.  If I walk all through the place, it's about 5,000 steps.   Usually I have Ken drop me off at the entrance and walk to the apartment.  This is by the front office.
The pool behind the office.  Again it's empty!
right behind the pool are these nice tennis courts.  Only seen someone here once and they weren't too serious.  Has me wanting to try playing tennis again.
This is a hilly complex.  Here it looks like the apartments are 2 stories high.  But most of the ground floor garage units have apartments under them in the back.  We lucked out and have a true ground level garage apartment.
 Heading down towards our unit.
Detouring to the little playground.  Seems like a good idea, but I've never seen anyone here, either.  I bet it they took the playground out and made it a little dog park they'd have a lot more use out of it.  There are a lot of dogs in this complex.  And a lot of owners who don't clean up after them---so I guess that wouldn't be a good idea for a dog park!
To show how the buildings are one level on one side and another level on the other side.  Another disadvantage to the ground level apartments are that all the A/C units are put by the "master" bedroom window!  Not that it bothers us all that much, but we made the 2nd bedroom our bedroom and use the "master" as an office.  Maybe we'd get use to the A/Cs running all night like we're almost use to thunder above us all day (2 little energetic boys lives above us).
There are a few of these groups of unattached garages, too.  I'd be really ticked if I was in one of the 1 bedroom apartments right behind them.  Their patios look at the back of the garages. I guess they can't complain too much about not having privacy!
And I'm almost home.
