north Georgia Wineries in March:  Blackstock Winery & Frogtown Winery

There are an amazing number of wineries in north Georgia!  Most of which offer tastings and lunch or dinner.

Blackstock Winery, near Dahlonega---we went here in 2011.  I understand it closed in 2013, but was reopened as Kaya Vineyards.  I hear it's still quite good.

Frogtown Winery----Frogtown is a 57-acre wine estate located at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains equal distance between Dahlonega and Cleveland, Georgia.

Frogtown encompasses 40 acres of vineyards and a tri-level gravity flow winery specifically designed to produce the unique wines made from Frogtown grapes.
Frogtown produces more than 30 different wines from its own estate vineyards, from exquisite dry wines to the muscadines.
I'm not a wine fancier, but do enjoy the rides there and the companionship of whomever I'm with.  So on a crisp March morning in 2011, Angie and I rode up into the mountains to check a couple out.
