Oct. 11, 2016---Suwanee Center and Sculptour Park:
We found a place called "Friends" that has great wings. On Wed. nights they have a buy 10 get 10 special. So we decided that's where we were going tonight. But first, we had a check to deposit at a Credit Union near there. Since we were out of the bank really quickly, we decided to hang out in the park in Suwanee Center.
Once we got there, we decided to go check out the sculptures. That's when we discovered it's called Sculptour Park---clever play on words.
This is looking back at the city hall as we were wandering around the park.
I remember these guys being named "Who let the dogs out".
I forget what most of the rest of the artworks were called.
I loved the way the metal was brushed on these.
along with sculptures, they also had artwork painted on the concrete pathways.
a closs up of the above photo.
This memorial on the ground was fascinating.
more of the 9/11 memorial
or the memorial named "Remembrance"
some of the steel from the Twin Towers.
another pathway painting.
there's even a fountain park in front of the City Hall.
We easily spent 30-40 minutes wandering around there. Then it was time to go eat.
